In the beginning of the film it is completely silent and the character nicholas walks toward the camera loud and authority. The audience can only see his face when he get close to the camera conceling his identity this could be a hidden feature or message to create a imposing view of the police. His facial expression is a stero typical one of the polic angry and looking authority.
There is a montage of the things he is qualifies in such as advanced driving working for the armed police, however he states he has completed advanced cycling. Advanced driving and sports and other qualifications look very impressive but advanced cycling is percieved to be a non-cool hobby. His facial expression remains the same in the monage throughout, and when he is recieving his qualifications and awards he looks smug and arrogant. This is a sterotypical perception of the police such as a lack of emotion like nicholas he acts as though he is always on duty. Other ways to show he is an angel his shoulder number is 777 which is associated with angels. At the end of the opening sequence the audience are shown a different side to his job when he is about to be promoted. The sergents want to promote him but he has to move to a village. This makes the audience feel sorry for him and makes him the hero which is the opposite of how he was portrayed in the monatage and the beginning of the film.

A good start Tom, just make sure you proof read your work to ensure silly errors don't creep in.
