The Kings Speech Poster
What information is conveyed and from what sources dos it seem to be taken and How is the information structured?
The poster uses certain features that a blockbuster film The Social Network used on its poster. This is intentionally used to gain interest from audiences who would watch The Social Network. The main characters are used for the central images. On the poster on the left quotes from critics with the source of the quote shown in smaller letters, these quotes are spread across the page this is to make the film look positive and shows that it has had good reviews creating the impression to the person looking that it is worth seeing. On the poster on the right the quote "GOD Save The KING" this is assoicated brititshness. The posters are very similarly designed with the position of the main character, but the left poster the character is more over to the right above the actors name Geofrey Rush, likewise on the poster on poster on the right where Colin Firth is shown. The words that are used for quotes in the poster on the right is thought to be associated with being british such as "Exquisite" and "Majestic". The emotion the actors show in the photos is cold and looks serious this could be used for a films thats genre is Drama. The facial epressions they are showing with Firth looking directly in front and Rush looking away suggest to the audience that they are lookin at one another. Another similarity to previous british films that were successful is slumdog millionare. The style of the poster on the right with the quotes is similar this is another way the marketing is trying to hitch the audience from other films. What makes these posters different from existing ones is that in one poster (right) the film is being sold to you by the words they use not by the characters picture. Colours that are used are White, Black and Orange, white is used for the text to make it stand out against the grey background. Black is a colour that is more associated with drama which fits this film. The orange is used for the film title its more of a gold colour that is compared to royalty which is what the film is about.

Language and History
How is the mise en scene contructed to convey the setting, the period and the social status of te characters in the shot?
You can see from the way that the characters are dressed in this shot that it is set in an upper class area. The clothing is old fashioned. But the way that the woman in the shot looking up at the male in the scene this would imply that men are more superior to women. However the way that she is dressed would infer that she Is quite wealthy wearing a fur coat with a necklace around her.
